Born in Calcutta, India and educated in the Himalayas near Darjeeling. Lorna moved to England in 1948. Lorna taught Art in Sutton College of Liberal Arts specialising in watercolour, which continues to be her favourite medium. She has lived and exhibited in Spain and visits France for colour and light. Lorna favours the West Coast of Ireland, which she says, favours the watercolourist.

Her paintings have been bought by collectors in many countries including: Ireland, Australia, France, Spain and England.

Lorna has lectured and demonstrated to several art groups. She is now retired and is concentrating on her own development in Fine Art as an artist.
