Mary Pickering

Mary Pickering was born in Dublin and began her career hand painting silk and lace clothes and has developed her own unique style working from the representational to her contemporary works of today.

Her technique and style is highly personal. She uses colour and shape to create a sense of movement which is a hallmark of many of her works. Her paintings are usually busy with people and full of movement. The blend of traditional subject and modern vibrant colours has made Mary’s work much sought after and commented upon.

Mary has exhibited with the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin and has her work in galleries, corporate, public and private collections in Ireland and around the world.
