Born is southern Ireland Pierce studied art and design at
the Crawford School of Art in Cork and at the Grafton Academy
of Design in Dublin. . He gained a Diploma in Art and Design
at Amberley College, London and graduated with a BA in 1998
in Printed Textiles and Surface Decoration from the University
of East London.
Though his earlier career was split between commercial Design,
Art studies and exhibiting his paintings, since graduating
Pierce has concentrated on painting.
He has exhibited in London and Ireland. In 1998 he won the
Sunday Times Competition to design a tail fin for British
Airways, which was used on eleven different types of aircrafts.
