Sean
Cotter
 Seán
was born in Monasterevin, County Kildare. He studied at the National
College of Art and Design in Dublin, graduating in 1991 with an
honours degree in Fine Art Painting.
Seán then relocated to Galway where the bleak and romantic
sea and landscapes became a strong influence in his work. He spent
the next eight years there developing as an artist.
He was a found member of The Works Artists Cooperative and later
joined Artspace Studios in 1994.
He has held solo exhibitions at The Hallward Gallery in Dublin,
The Galway Arts Festival and numerous other Arts Centres and festivals
throughout Ireland.
