Sherree was born in Surrey in 1956 into a highly artistic family,
her father, who emigrated from Ireland, was a sculptor and
stonemason and her sister is also an artist. After studying
at Epsom School of Art for 4 years, she won the Laing Landscape
and Seascape Competition and many further awards.
She has a great facility to capture the spirit of sporting
events and was featured on BBC television, painting at Test
cricket grounds. Some of the paintings are now in the Lords
Museum.
Sherree is a regular exhibitor at the Royal Society of British
Artists, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, the New English
Art Club and the Royal Watercolour Society.
There are few artists working today who have the ability
to capture children at play and the social scene at Ascot
and Henley with such vivacity and nerve.
